This honour is much appreciated by Cabbagetown ReLEAF's Founding Team, James Steenberg, Cathryn MacFarlane, and David Grant, and our Steering Committee and Tree Stewards.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT: A free city tree planting program, Cabbagetown ReLEAF's mission is to promote a larger, healthier Urban Forest as part of a green infrastructure through community planting, tree care, tree protection, education, and advocacy. The project is volunteer driven, training about 25 volunteers each year as Tree Stewards who get involved and speak with people in their community about local Urban Forest issues and help community members access new trees.

Greenpeace Presents Top 10 Events

Ten Celebrated Canadians. Ten minutes each on stage. Ten stories of courage you should hear before you die.

It's all happening on Thursday, February 13th at the legendary Winter Garden Theatre from 730pm to10pm.  Speakers such as Juno Award Winner Jully Black, Acclaimed Author Sally Armstrong, Award Winning Filmmaker Jennifer Podemski and many more will be sharing ten minutes each of inspiration and courageous stories.

This event is creating awareness of the oil drilling projects in the Arctic and the environmental devastation that comes along with it.  It's an important night and one that I'm sure your readers within your Cabbagetown community would thoroughly enjoy. I'm sure we could all agree that your readers would enjoy an inspiring evening, listening to how other fellow Canadians are making those positive and courageous changes in this world.

People can get their complimentary ticket and can learn more about the event, by clicking here. http://tinyurl.com/ld3j8ln
