One Stop Shop

Hello Cabbagetowners!

This week's Business Spotlight features our favourite one-stop-shop:

The Epicure Shop
473 Parliament Street
416 928-0291

Cabbagetown’s very own gourmet store, The Epicure Shop, opened business in the fall of 1980 and has been serving our community for over 30 years.
Patty Junior and the staff at The Epicure Shop are pleased and proud to be able to supply you with the finest foods and brands from around the world and Canada.

They carry over 100 different cheeses (including the best-selling ‘La Sauvagine’ from Québec and Upper Canada’s artisanal Comfort Cream and Niagara Gold) as well as deli meats, Fair Trade coffees and teas, breads brought in daily from the best bakeries Toronto has to offer.

Patty reminisces about the early days of the shop going back to the time there was a cheese store across the street (where Face Furniture Optical now stands) and another deli was also around at that time on the south side of Carlton nearby.
Patty has lived through some great changes in Cabbagetown but one thing remains the same – the quality of her shop.

There is a new special everyday and Tuesday is always homemade Pizza and Lasagna Day at The Epicure Shop. They’re so good you could’ve sworn Nonna made them.

Pick up some homemade Pasta Sauce too for your own collection – no preservatives or additives.
Daily lunch specials at the shop consist of a choice of sandwich + soup for only 5.99$ or a panini with the same option for 6.99$
Wraps are also available if that's more your style.
Don't forget to ask for a lunch card because after 8 Stamps - lunch is on Patty.
The newest addition to our morning routine includes the new breakfast sandwiches that are very popular with early birds but are also available all day! The original is only 2.99$ tax included and you can add a coffee or tea for only $1.
Our favourite is the delicious “King Breakfast Sandwich.” It was originated by one of the shop’s morning regulars who looked like Elvis. He would come in daily and order the same sandwich so Patty asked him if she could add his sandwich to the list and he was more than happy to oblige.
Mention you read this story on the Blog, order a King Breakfast Sandwich and receive $1.00 OFF on the sandwich + a free coffee is yours for only 3.99$

The coffee at the shop is great and if you’re looking for great value, try a coffee special with muffin, croissant, cookie, or buttered bagel for only 2.50$ (available all day!)

The shop opens at 7:30am, so pop in on your way to school or work and try one of these great breakfast deals now.

The Epicure Shop has fantastic gift baskets available for any occassion and also caters events such as office meetings, birthdays, and other celebrations.

The Epicure Shop is a family-owned business and Patty’s own children have grown along with the store in Cabbagetown. Everyone has been super supportive over the years and Patty would like to thank you from the heart.
