Summer in the City

Hello Cabbagetowners and welcome to another fun-filled week of Cabbagetown News.
We are continuing our Business Spotlight on the Cabbagetown Chiropractic Health Centre. We hope you've enjoyed getting to know the amazing staff at the CCHC.

Business Spotlight: Profile
Etai Tintpulver - Registered Massage Therapist

"What inspires me about massage therapy is that it has the power to affect all parts of the human experience (body, mind and spirit) and so can be a power tool for treating almost everybody."

etai.tintpulver.com
Over the past 7 years I've extended my skills into the Myofascial Release, Thai massage, Craniosacral Therapy and Tuina (Chinese massage) worlds in order to have better and more effective ways of helping people with their problems.
Typically, a treatment from me will include multiple styles of massage (ranging from light to deep and stimulating to relaxing) so that the treatment can be tailored to my clients' specific set of needs and desires. Usually pain and stress management are the primary focus of my treatments, what ever their origins may be.
Pain and stress are often multidimensional problems and so structural re-balancing of the body, opening energetic pathways and calming the mind/spirit are usually essential for maximizing the outcome of treatment.
I consider myself a general practitioner of massage and welcome any client wishing to improve the quality of their living, regardless of the issue in question.
For the past five years I've maintained a massage practice in Liberty Village and also been a teacher of Massage Therapy. Recently, however, I've come to realize my true passion is in practicing massage and so now I'm looking forward to developing a second practice at the Cabbagetown Chiropractic Health Centre. The sense of community and relaxed atmosphere of Cabbagetown is huge draw for me. I'm available for treatments Monday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am - 5pm.

Cabbagetowners in Action

While celebrating PRIDE, our newest addition to the BIA team, Nauoda, ran into recent Order of Canada Inductee, Archibald "Archie" Alleyne, enjoying himself on a Church St. patio with friends and family at Pride Toronto 2012!

Archie is no stranger to Cabbagetown, not long ago featured at the Stonegrill on Winchester.

Archie's not only an accomplished jazz musician and bandleader, he's also the co-creator of Kollage, the founder of 'The Evolution Of Jazz Ensemble' and The Archie Alleyne Scholarship Fund to support our youth in their professional music careers.
Find out more about the great work being put forth by Archie by visiting http://www.aasf.ca/ and http://www.kollage.ca/

Check out this great shots from last weekend's PRIDE event.
