Postcards to help improve Riverdale Park West

A Message from the Cabbagetown Residents Association:
The 42nd Annual Forsythia Festival needs your help. On Sunday, May 5th hundreds of people will fill Wellesley Park for Cabbagetown’s Annual Welcome of Spring event. This year there are many new activities such as a beer garden, live jazz, a plant sale and more. In addition to the new activities, there will be many of the activities you have enjoyed in years past such as face painting, a bouncy castle, delicious food from Cabbagetown merchants and a lot more.
To find out more about the Forsythia Festival, please visit: http://cabbagetowner.com/forsythia-festival/
We are looking for volunteers to help make the 42nd Festival a great success.  It’s a fun filled day and a wonderful chance to catch up with old neighbourhood friends and meet new ones.  If you can contribute just one hour (though we wouldn’t say no to two!) of your time on Sunday, May 5th between 10:00am and 3:00pm we would be very grateful.
This Festival is for everyone who loves Cabbagetown and wants to celebrate the beginning of spring. Please email info@cabbagetowner.com to volunteer and be a part of this fabulous spring tradition
The planning committee for this year's Forsythia Festival (Sunday, May 5th)  is requesting nominations for the Forsythia Queen, Forsythia King and Parade Marshall. We hope that Association members will nominate people that are outstanding neighbours, or whose contribution to our community has made a difference.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 19. We will announce the Queen, King and Parade Marshall in the April 26 edition of the Cabbagetown Review.

For more information about the Forsythia Festival, please visit: http://cabbagetowner.com/forsythia-festival/

Please send your nomination along with a brief description of your nominee's contributions to shannongrimm@hotmail.com.

The planning committee wishes to thank the following Cabbagetown businesses for their generosity and help to make this year's Forsythia Festival bigger and better.
