The Local Gest is getting more "Local"

Fresh Farm City runs an annual program for the community of new farmers that wish to grow their own food, offering plots at Downsview Park (Keele and Sheppard) with the use of certified organic seeds, potting mixes, compost, fertilizers and sustainable methods of cultivation. This year "The Local Gest" have decided to do an extra effort to bring to their supporters more and more local food.

This year you will be able to enjoy, fresh kale, cucumber, tomatoes, tomatillos, zucchini, arugula, lettuce, spinach, basil, and more! If you wish to find out more about it, get in contact with us at thelocalgest@gmail.com. You may get to visit the farm for a tour or volunteer some time which will allow you to bring back some vegetables along with a great experience of having your hands in the soil!
